(Welcome to Where to Watch, which provides a clear and simple answer to the question, "Hey, where can I watch this thing?")

Holy motherforking shirtballs, it's time to talk about "The Good Place!" Easily one of the best comedies of the past decade, Michael Schur's NBC show ran from 2016-2020. The series starred the always delightful Kristin Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a woman who finds herself in the one place she's certain she doesn't belong: Heaven. Of course, since she's in the Good Place, her soulmate Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper) — who she's never met — is also there. After realizing she's mistakenly wound up in Heaven, Eleanor secretly recruits the former moral philosophy professor to help her become a better person, someone worthy of being there. They are also joined by impossibly dumb, yet insanely lovable Jacksonville Jaguars fan Jason Mendoza (Manny Jacinto) and fabulous name-dropping model/philanthropist Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil). Running this side of the afterlife is Ted Danson as Michael and his omniscient information system, Janet (D'Arcy Carden), who acts as a guide in heaven.

"The Good Place" is not only hilarious but incredibly heartfelt. It will make you laugh and cry, as well as marvel at the sheer volume and cleverness of the jokes that just keep on coming. The show's brilliant, often absurdist humor is anchored by real philosophy, so not only are there giant flying shrimp —which pretty much sold me on this show immediately — but there's plenty of philosophical food for thought! Whether you're ready to experience the series for the first time or are preparing for rewatch, you might be wondering how to go about that. Don't worry, we've got you covered.

Where You Can Stream The Good Place

There are four glorious seasons of "The Good Place," which impressively managed to reinvent itself more than once across that run. The series also chose to end on its own terms, despite its critical success and popularity with viewers. No spoilers, but that ending is absolutely perfect. While NBC would've continued with the show, Schur announced season 4 would be the last on the show's Twitter account. He explained:

"I began to feel like four seasons, just over 50 episodes, was the right lifespan. At times over the past few years we've been tempted to go beyond four seasons, but mostly because making this show is a rare, creatively fulfilling joy, and at the end of the day, we don't want to tread water just because the water is so warm and pleasant."

All 53 episodes of "The Good Place" are currently streaming on Netflix, so head on over there and give it a watch.

Where You Can Buy The Good Place

If you don't subscribe to Netflix or if you're simply concerned about the ephemeral nature of streaming and you want to own "The Good Place," you've got options. Shout! Factory has put together a Blu-ray set of the entire series that you can currently buy from their site for $55.97, though as of right now, it's cheaper from Amazon or Walmart at $39.67. You can also buy the complete series digitally from the usual haunts like iTunes or Vudu at $39.99. It's also possible to purchase the show by episode or season, but honestly, why not just make sure you've got the whole thing? Trust me, you won't want to miss a moment of this show!
