Global IT services provider Atos has won a five-year contract to overhaul the Western Australian Department of Health’s (WA Health) legacy infrastructure.

The $124 million-project will see Atos work with the WA Government-owned IT services provider Health Support Services (HSS) to deploy a pay-as-you-go hybrid digital cloud service.

The scope of the project will include a fully-managed Oracle Cloud platform, plus private, managed public and hybrid cloud orchestration.

In addition, Atos will oversee co-location and managed services for 2,000 servers and more than 1,000 applications.
